Sociopath ? or merely Mistaken -you decide
A couple of us were highly amused a few months back when the Pattaya City Expats club hosted a lecture by local pedagogue Thor Halland on the subject of the ‘Sociopath around us’. While Mr. Halland insisted that the sociopath named was another person we were suspicious that it was really about our old friend Drew .It seem Drew thought so too since he dispatched on of his cronies to try and stop Mr. Halland from talking .He failed to have him banned and also failed to disrupt him by talking loudly during his lecture.
We were introduced to a list of sociopath indicators which we found matched Drew so well that we thought we would share them with you. Googling sociopathic indicators came up with a number of sites sharing pretty much identical information.
Essentially It seems a Dr. Hare is the expert on this and has a 20 point recognition plan which we have matched to Mr. Noyes
They are as Follows
. GLIB and SUPERFICIAL CHARM -- the tendency to be smooth, engaging, charming, slick, and verbally facile. Psychopathic charm is not in the least shy, self-conscious, or afraid to say anything. He has no educational qualifications beyond a high school diploma although he claims ,amongst other things, to have a degree from Duke N.C. majoring in Journalism .He may have had experience as a salesman in financial services. There are many rumours of his activities but we cannot substantiate them so we will not ,currently, endorse them.
Drew Noyes earns his money ,here in Pattaya, by a combination of fraud , misrepresentation and deceit combined with a small amount of legitimate work mainly in the spheres of real estate and Advertising. He claims to be a wealthy man but lives in rather dilapidated home in central Pattaya.
Drew Noyes was some years back the self appointed Chairman of the Pattaya city expats Club until they institued voting wherapon he resigned from it's board. He has since attempted to be re-elected but has recieved very small numbers of votes and never succeeded. He still claims to many people (especially amongst local politicans) that he is still the Chairman of the PCEC.
Here : He published a letter to the Bangkok post claiming to be the PCEC chairman in May1996 when in fact the Chairman was Mr Richard Smith ( as well as other lies).
